Mansfield Rotary Club makes life-saving donation
A defibrillator costing approximately £1,500 has been installed at the entrance to Berry Hill Park by Mansfield Rotary Club. The device was placed at the entrance to the Mansfield Harriers Athletics Club changing rooms and registered on The Circuit, the national defibrillator network.
Mansfield Rotary Club has a proud connection with Berry Hill Park, which started in 2012 with a community-boosting project to breathe new life into what is long considered to be the jewel in the crown of the town’s parks. Therefore, we are delighted to have donated the defibrillator. They are vital safety devices, and the more there are out there, the more lives that could potentially be saved.
John Whiteley, Past President and Community Leader, explained the club’s decades-long partnership with the park. Pat Carlan, President of Mansfield Harriers, serves as equipment guardian.
